Great afternoon to be on the Lake for some Smallies

A very peaceful afternoon on the water with only the Smallies & a bunch of different birds landing and taking off like they were playing a game. Started out with Tube jigs but switched over to Dropshotting X-Zone Slammers & Bassmagnet Twitch baits, started with a very light breeze with the water temp at 38.5f, I was casting and reeling very slowly and picked up a couple of smallies and then switched over to dragging the drop shot about .5 to 1 mph and getting a bunch more, had a few grab the Twitch but missed the hook and bit the tail off, all and all it was a great day maybe the last Bass day this year, see what the weather on Wednesday looks like.

Lonely again with lots of Smallies from Bruce County

Had a plan but desided to change it when I got to the lake what a mistake, started at a different spot than I was going too & caught a couple quickly and hit another 2 spots catching 1 smallie on each spot then I moved to where I was going to start and caught a couple of 19" smallies moved again and nothing for the next hour or so back to where I caught the 19"ers and they were homemostly #BassmagnetTubes were used with a few caught on Dropshotting #SetTheHook Nailers, all the Smallies were caught on #ArdentReels, Ardent Edge & Denny Brauer Spinning Rods with Ardent Wire & C-Force Spinning reels & Gliss Line 18lb test. #RuleTheWater, #Blackflylures.

Some of these Smallies were caught dropping down to them when they were marked on the Fish Finder in 7.5 to 8.5' of water that was crazy, how shallow do you guys catch them under the boat. #Simonfrosticeman, thanx for the tip.

Yesterday at Silver Lake

Found a Largemouth by a bunch of sticks dropshotting a #Slammer & thought this might be good but there were no more that I could get of any sticks lol, water was 47.5 to 50 degrees, switch to some deeper stuff & was marking lots but light hitters or no takers, last spot I was dropshotting a Bassmagnets Twich 3.75" where I picked up the crappie on a spot about 18.5' to 20' with 25' very close all around it that drops to 40' fairly quickly, pretty sure I'll be back to hammer some of these guys soon. I'm hoping it'll be a ggood spot in the spring before they move to shore too. Lake Huron Fishing Club Port Elgin Salmon Hatchery egg sorting

Took some School Salmon Hatchery supplies to Port Elgin and a bunch of volunteers were sorting the eggs before they go out to the schools, the white ones are dead and need to be taken out.

Very windy but ended up with 3 Smallies

Drove around a bit looking for fish and ended up finding some smallies in a very small area that were willing to take a tube jig, here are 2 of the 3 Smallies landed from 2:28 to 2:39 pm and lost a few others half way to the boat and then they were gone lol. Water was 47 degrees and they were caught in 6.5' to 7.5' of water with the wind blowing into a bit of a trough going from deeper water to shallower water. Ardent Edge Spinning Rod, DB Spinning Rod & Wire & C-Force Spinning Reels were used to through Tube Jigs to bring these in.

Half the dock was still there which helped with the loading of the boat before dark.

Air Temp 16 degrees, Water temp 50f, wind lots lol Tubes did the trick today, a bit of video taken, I'll see how it turns out, lost a few nice ones after the hooks being snagged a few times I kept using them & lost 2 nice ones because of it, need to take time to retie lol

19.5" Smallie just barely 2.5lbs, this one must be having a hard time finding food no bellie at all.

Just a little aggressive, tubes gone lol.
