LHFC School Salmon Hatchery Program Expands to 17 Schools

The Lake Huron Fishing Club & Bruce Power has started a 3 year Partnership deal with them donating $12,000.00 to let us expand from 10 schools last year to 17 schools this year, here is a bit of video of the Alevin as they get their 1st feed the last day of school before Christmas break. We started off with 1 school in 2010, 3 schools in 2011, a $6,000.00 grant from Libro Financial Group allowed us to expand to 10 school in 2012 & now the grant from Bruce Power allowed us to expand to 17 school in 2013-14, most of the schools were set up in late October but we added 2 in the last week, School that are now involved are located 2 in Goderich, 1 at Brookside, 1 in Wingham, 2 in Teeswater, 2 in Mildmay, 2 in Walkerton, 1 in Ripley, 2 in Kincardine, 2 in Port Elgin, 1 in Southampton & 1 in Wiarton, Thank You very much Bruce Power for your generous donation. Hoping to hit 20 for 2014-15 & the waiting list is growing.

Fed Cup Sept 28-29/13

Left Thursday for a Doctors appointment in Kitchener & received a good report next appointment is in January, then off to Carp's to meet up and head to Trenton for a pre-fish, on the water for a couple hours and off to the Motel, Thanx Al and Rick for putting up with me for the night, Carp set up a pre-fish with Jim Coverly on Friday and we met him at the Ramp in Belleville, had a great day running around the bay Thanx Jim, then off to the Comfort Inn to meet the rest of the WW CBAF Team, everybody met their Partners for Saturday and 14 of us headed out for Supper, I'd like to thank my Boater Lenny Devos for a great day on the water and a weight of 23.31 for 2nd place on Saturday, off to get ready for the next day, talk to our Partners and try to come up with a plan for Sunday, another great meal out & some socializing, my Boater Gary Sanderson and I ran for the lake but after hitting a wall of big waves we aborted and headed for protection behind the Island and then back to the bay to try to get a Limit, we ended up with a limit for 10.95, after 2 Days on the Boater Side - Lenny won the Tourney Congrats Lenny, Gary hoping to make the top 20 this year ended up in 9th place Congrats Gary and I ended up in 3rd on the Non Boater side a great way to end the Weekend.
A BIG Thank You goes out to the Organizers and Volunteers of this Years Fed Cup and the WW guys for the great weekend.

Bone Marrow Biopsy Results great news

Doctors appointment Wednesday & the Bone Marrow Biopsy results are in NO Cancer, I've been extra Tired the last few weeks so the Doctor wanted to get a Cardiac Ultrasound booked, it happened Friday & they implied unofficially no damage from the Chemo, just taking longer to recover, Doctor figures I was fighting a Virus? good news just need to take it easy. Pretty good Birthday Present.

Doc says I'm good to go back to Work Tomorrow

Been a while since my last report, test are done Blood work is good & 17 months of Chemo, Radiation & Recovering it's back to work, the end of November would've been so much better lol after Bass Season ends, but I really can't complain, it'll be nice to get back to a bit of a routine, Monday, Wednesday & Friday 4 hrs for the next 2 weeks, then Monday to Friday 4 hrs for 2 weeks & add 1 hr a week after that, 2nd week of January before I work 5 x 8hr days. Feeling pretty good we'll see how it goes, they tell me just be aware of any symptoms & follow up if it happens. Tight Lines & Thanx for all the Support Richard
