Took a couple kids out fishing for Crappie and they caught them

Started at 1:30 and bounced around the lake until we found a big school with lots of 10" to 12" Crappie and they were all caught on small jigs with Plastic and scent. They were going to be a couple hours as they didn't think they would last any longer but at 5:30 Ace said just one more fish and he caught one as he was reeling in. We headed to the dock and unloaded and I grabbed my bigger net that was in the truck and headed back out for a bit of Bass fishing and the Hatchet Blade Spinnerbait and the Metal Buzzbait put a few nice ones and a bunch of smaller ones in the boat eve4n after the rain started and then it was time to head home for some supper.

Last night was a peaceful night with some topwater action.

I reorganized my boat and tackle a bit before heading out and the Hatchet Blade Spinnerbait started putting them in the boat with a bit of Flipp'n and finishing the night off with a bit of Buzzbait action with a beautiful sunset and moon rise. Saw a bunch of Crappie around but I didn't bother trying for them I'm heading out this afternoon with a couple Kids, Mom and Grandma to fish for Panfish and whatever else will bite. There was a Canoe war happening from the Church Camp site and they came over to warn me lol. I was leaving the area as I was out numbered lol, they all looked like they were having FUN.

Sunday night was a little better than Saturday night

Caught a bunch of smaller Bass and spent some time catching Crappie as well but I didn't bother taking pictures just enjoyed setting the hook and Catch and Release is part of #LetThemGoLetThemGrow Flipp'n was a big part of the day/evening again. Temperatures are dropping and so is the water temp and the fish are setting up and a bit easier to find.

Uncle Bass and I made it out Friday night

It might have just been for a few hours but that's all it took to get these nice ones in the boat. I stopped into see Mikey at his house in Wingham and mentioned I was heading fishing later and he was able to join me for a few hours to get is lines wet. Mikey biggest Largie came off of a piece of wood shallow and the bigger Smallie came off of a deep weed clump that we marked and he tossed backwards and let it sink and boom the bigger Smallmouth smoked it. I had a big explosion on my buzzbait that knocked it into the air and we were drifting away and Mikey asked if I was going to take another cast but I was out of position so I turn the trolling motor head and pushed backwards and said go for it, he put his frog about 10' away from were it happened and immediately set the hook on a nice Largemouth Bass and at the same time we heard a lot of cheering across the lake and one of the ladies caught a nice Largie at the same time, beautiful night to be out and as it was getting dark we headed back to the dock to load the boat up and head home.

Wednesday was a bit longer than usual but it was a FUN Day

Dan and Daniel came up from London to spend the day we were at the lake at 8 am and I got back home at 8:20 pm, the weather was great and we bounced around targeting Bass and Crappie and caught a bunch of both and we used quite a few techniques putting them in the boat. We did spend quite a while getting them into Flipp'n with Jigs and Texas Rigs both being successful after a bit of trial and error lol. After finding the Crappie with the Active Target I let Daniel have some FUN watching his jig meet the Crappie and feeling the hit as he seen them eat it. We bounced around from shallow to outside weed beds to deep structure that's scattered throughout the lake. It was a Great Day and I'm sure they'll be getting out again maybe even soon they said.

Goderich Great Lakes Custom Knife Show and Pickle Daddy

This was my second year going to this show and there were a lot of people that came to look and buy a Knife, Sword and even a Handmade Bow. Bill took some pickle's last year and they were a big hit and he sold out and this year he took more and still sold out with people putting orders in if/when he makes another batch, he picked up more pickles yesterday and will be making more tomorrow with people already asking can you drop some off or ship them to Me lol.
