My 2nd day at the CNE with Fishing Friendzy

Fishing Friendzy has a trailer behind it with these 2 butter Sculptures in it & I'll get a better picture of the new hat soon. Lots of Kids going through the booth again today, I was mostly in the casting booth & talking to people around the booth, Flipp'n a 5" Chigger Craw & scaring a few people when they 1st saw it sliding acroos the floor lol.

Left for Toronto & the CNE about 11:30 & arived back home about 14 hours later

Lots of youth went through the fishing pool and the casting area today, 6 youth fishing every 3 minutes for 12 hours, someone else can do the math I'm tired lol.

Waited until it was cooling down late afternoon to head out

Great day on the water even with the wind, started out frogging but they wouldn't commit so we switched to Flipp'n Jigs, Spinnerbaits & Chatterbaits and that's what they wanted. 

#Ardent Rods & Reels performed great & half my bass came on #Blackflylures Spinnerbaits.

Dave's #1 lure Chatterbait put them in the boat.

My last couple Largemouth were caught on Frogs & we didn't take pictures, the last one might have been my biggest of the night but after loosing a grip on it & dropping it on the deck I put it back as soon as I got my hand back on it. Of course Dave had to rub it in with 2 people on shore watching, lol.

I needed a day on the Lake

Headed out this morning to Silver Lake, starting out with a #Blackflylures Spinnerbait Orange & White caught a Largie to start out than a Crankbait caught a small Smallie & than Flipp'n took over with #Ardent Tournament Reels on St Croix rods with 65lb Power Pro & 20lb Flouro & lots of clones Largemouth & a 18.5" Smallie on the 65lb braid. I had a eye appointment at 3pm in Wingham so I left a little after 1pm to make sure I wasn't late & it started to rain as I was leaving, after my appointment back to get the boat & off to Silver Lake & there were puddles all over when I got back there fishing until about 9pm, started with the Orange & White double willow leaf, than the Triple blade White, White & Chartruese Buzzbait, White & Chartruese Hatchet Blades & Black & Red double Willow leaf, caught 10 to 12 both times out with a Pike each time too.

August 10 I made a trip to the #blackflylures in Acton

Picking up some of these & had doubles or triples or more of some of them at the 3 Toronto & London Spring Fishing Shows, was getting low or running out of some of the more popular ones I needed to stock up. 

Headed to Acton to http://www.blackflylures.com/ to have a tour of the shop & pick up a bunch of Tackle, between Steve & I this is what I ended up bringing home.

Aug 11/16

Wanted to try the new Musky lures today to see how they looked in the water so I took an extra heavy flipp'n stick with an Ardent Apex Magnum spooled with 65lb Power Pro & tied a 60 lb Flouro leader about 2.5' long & went to the Teeswater River but 1st I through a new to me colour of Spinnerbait the Orange & White & on the 2nd cast this little guy hit it, I had another little one hit the blades but didn't hook up, I really like the looks of this one it'll be tied on the next trip out, tried the #blackfly Lures Spoon next & snagged on the far side so I waded through to retrieve it & then put on the new Blackfly Flash Dancer Silver/Black Blade & it looks really nice coming through the water, need to make it out to give this a try too.

Pre planning didn't workout

Last night everything was tied on & ready to go Flipp'n & Pitch'n with a little top water for today but the bass & pike had different ideas, started flipp'n a jig & a pike wanted it wosrt than I did gone, creature baits no luck, frog hit & missed, Flapp'n Shad hit & miss & then a pike wanted it too, change things up & started throughing #BlackflyLures Spinnerbaits & things changed around Malcolm was using Orange & Purple & I was using White triple blades & here is what we caught with about 5 or 6 more hitting the blades & about that many follows to the boat but no takers on any follow up baits, nice to see a couple CO's out at the ramp checking a couple guys for licence that were fishing from shore.

Needed a few hours on the water tonight

It was a long day, up at 6am off to St Thomas for a Visitation & Funeral to say good bye to Uncle Friday (Orland), tried flipp'n 1st & lost a jig on the fall thanx to a pike, & caught this one.

Switched over to a buzzbait & caught a few.

Flapp'n Shad ended the night caught a few about the same size, only 2 pictures as my camera died, it was very peaceful even with a few boats flying around the lake.
