Sept 16th was a lonely trip & very peaceful

Decided to get out for a few hours & no one was around so off I go, started with a crankbait switched to a spinnerbait & had one hit the blades & miss so I grabbed the #Ardent Denny Brauer Umbrella/Heavy Flipp'n Stick with a #Ardent Apex Elite DB Flouro with a Perfect Jig & a Berkley Havoc trailer for my 1st Smallie of the night & my 1st Smallie targeting with a Flipp'n Jig hopefully many more to come.

1st time out on the water after dark in a long time & it was a beautiful night for it .

Pretty windy out there but very nice temperature

Started out with Crankbaits today & #Blackflylures Spinnerbaits took over for the rest of the day. The water was 71.5 down 4 degrees from last Wednesday fall is getting closer. 

Out for a bit of Fishing before it Rains

Moe had the jump on me with the 2 biggest of the day 19" shortly after we got going, crankbaits were working for him but I couldn't get them going so I switched to spinnerbaits & started to figure them out. Blackfly Lures triple blade White was working until I lost 2 & the rest were at home so I switched over to White & Chartruese Hatchet blades & caught a few more before it got very hot & humid, after moving around a few times to cool down we decided to go have a visit with my Dad & had something to eat.

I caught all mine with Ardent Reels, with a few Ardent Rods, Shimano Rods & TBF Rods. More Rods need to be ordered.  

Fishing Lake Erie with Simon Frost Saturday Sept 3

Simon donated a Day on the water a few years ago & I was the highest bidder, we met up at Timmies in Fort Erie at 06:30 to grab something to eat & head out for the day on the lake, we found lots of fish but couldn't get them to go for a while, mostly Drop Shotting & he threw a Tube Jig too that they totally ignored, this would be a 1st for me to drag 2 rods & my left hand didn't react to good for the 1st while as I was dropping lots of fish, had the smallies right to the surface & they would just turn & say good bye lol, before I caught anything I said even a Sheephead would be ok. I guess they heard me because Simon caught 2 with one being 8 or 10 lbs & he really didn't want to catch them lol. I took a few pictures but hope the bit of video I took turns out, it was a great day & I might know how to run the electronics a little better now & it was fun dropping down to Smallies we saw on the fish finder screen & catching them, I really want to get out & try that on a few of the lakes in our area.

Teeswater River Kids & Bass

Hit the river for 1/2 an hour, caught a few little ones & Marley had one jump about 2' out of the water & swim away lol

Great couple of hours on the water putting the young ones on Fishies

Jumped in with Darcy to run the trolling motor & let the girls fish, found 5 different species & saw a turtle.

Everybody had fun & temperature was getting hotter so it was time to go while everybody was still having FUN. I released 1 Pike about 20" caught on a drop shot, no picture taken.
