What a way to start the day 4 Seagulls picking away at this

Only one person to call when you find one of these. The DFO came to pick it up, it's the biggest fish ever in one of my boats, any guess on the weight. About 56" 

We saw 4 Seagulls picking away at something a couple hundred feet away so we went to take a look, what a surprise and it was still alive.

Had a bit of a talk with a crew at the lake from the #MinistryOfNaturalResourcesAndForestry #MNRF #InlandLakeMonitoring #ScienceAndResearchBranch #BiodiversityAndMonitoringSection #Conservation #Environment they had a variety of species, about 700 lakes are sampled for water quality, angling activity, fish species, habitat features and contaminants in fish flesh, pretty cool to see, more info at: WWW.Ontario.ca/page/Fishing and WWW.Ontario.ca/fishguide they also check information such as weight, length, age, sex, maturity, diet, as well as contaminants and to estimate abundance, I'll be looking forward to see the data collected,
