The New NOMAD Bladed Jigs helped put a few in the boat last year

These are a bunch of fish caught on the Blackfly Lures  #NomadBladedJigs last year before they were available.

First day fishing at Balsam Lake was slow but someone usually catches them

Very slow afternoon yesterday, we definitely missed more than we caught and I didn't get anything but I guided Pete to 4 nice ones in 3 different spots. We both missed a bunch and we have a different game plan for today. Dave and Bonnie were like me washing lures all afternoon. Blackfly Lures Triple Blade and X Zone Lures Swammers did most of work today. It was a beautiful afternoon to be on the water and most of the pleasure boats were pulled out so very little traffic ripping around.

Had 6.5 hours on the water today after working 12hr day shifts the last 3 days and now 2 - 12hr nightshifts

When you have 1 day off what do you do, yup go fishing. I was on the lake for about 10 minutes and my rod bounced pretty good and the fight was on, after a few good runs I brought a nice Pike to the boat side but when I grabbed the net it took one more run, I was able to get it back beside the boat but I was putting a lot of pressure on the rod and reel as i reached with the net the jig pulled out of it's mouth I stabbed at the Pike but couldn't get the net under it and it slowly sank back under the boat lol, about 10 minutes later I caught a 31.75" Pike and later a smaller one with a few nice Largemouth and Smallmouth mixed in a one brave Rock bass lol. Sw3itched back and forth from a few Chatterbaits, Spinnerbait, Swimbait, Football Jig and a Plopper water temperature was between 66.5 and 64.7 degrees, it looks like the water temp's are finally heading down.
