The day I caught 2 fish on 1 lure lol

This is a photo that was kind of backwards to me, I had a young adult out fishing a we were catching lots of Smallmouth and Pike when I had a nice hit on a crankbait when I was reeling in and it was a Pike when out of nowhere a Smallmouth Bass swam and hit the Pike in the side, the pike peeled out some line and I was getting it close when the smallmouth rammed it in the side again and the pike took another run the 3rd time I had the pike close and the smallmouth took another run at the pike but this time it hit the 2nd treble on the crankbait and Robbie took a stab at it and he had both fish in the net lol, Robbie is about 2 hours away and he asks if I can send him the picture so he can share it with his friends and say he caught it, I've been taking him out a few times a year for the last 10 years at that time and no one would see my post so I sent it to him to have a bit of fun, a day neither of us will likely forget. After it was over I thought if it was going to happen I would've thought the pike would be the one chasing the bass for the lure lol.

Thames River Anglers Association Conservation Work Project

Live Staking on the Medway Creek

This November, the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) led live staking projects at two locations along the Medway Creek. Despite the almost foot of snow, students from Medway High School and volunteers from the Thames River Anglers were able to get all of the live stakes into the ground! Using live stakes cut from willow trees, volunteers and UTRCA staff hammered them into the shore of the Medway Creek in areas of high erosion.

Tiaga Dog Dec 16 25 2

Out yesterday for a bit of a ride to see where I like to mount my Wasp Cameras and see how it goes thru a good amount of snow. Likely have it out a few more times while the ice gets thicker before I head out fishing with it.

First run of the year and it ran AWESOME

I got the Taiga Dog put away before thinking of getting a picture, it started easy yesterday and it was moved so I could get it out easier and I brought the sled down today and went for a rip back to the park and went thru about 18" of snow to make a few loops and make sure it's ready when the ice is ready to go lol. I lost the cover off of the exhaust port so I'll have to get something to cover it up to direct the exhaust away from where you sit. Hoping to get out around home and head over too Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe sometime as well

Screen Scene Video: How to Optimize the Side Imaging on Your Humminbird

Side Imaging can really help you find hidden structure that will hold fish of all species, I have drove around lakes and found cribs, rocks, wood and weeds that I didn't know where there and have caught a lot of fish on them since. Putting the time in will put fish in your boat for years to come.

Sarnia Walleye trip put 2 in the boat in an afternoon

Took a trip for the Walleye in Lake Huron with Randy in his boat and we bumped into Matt from School's Out Fishing Charters and he gave us a few of his top producers to try. We ended up catching 2 and loosing 2 more each, it was pretty windy with some nice rollers coming in and our first time down there in one of our boats. We were happy to be out and learn a bit about drifting in pretty quick water and caught more than some of the guys we talked too but Matt ended up with 24 Walleye for the crew he took out not too bad for an afternoon of fishing. I joined Matt last year to share the day on his boat with another guy that wanted to share the cost and we really enjoyed the day on the water catching over 18 Walleye and we took our limit home. If you're looking to get out to catch some Walleye and learn how he does it checkout Matt's website at: https://www.schoolsoutfishingcharters.ca/

Surprised to see eggs

Matt's collection for us to try

Another Panfish day with lots of wind

Blade Baits did it's job the other day, but all I could trick into eating were Panfish, lots of Crappie, Perch and a few Pumpkinseeds and the big ones took the day off lol. I took sometime to drive around mapping and looking for schools and trying to find the solo fish hoping they'd be the bigger ones.

The weather is holding on pretty good this year

Tuesday was another beautiful multi species day out in the lake with Smallmouth Bass, lots of Crappie, Perch and Rockbass all caught from 18' to 51' of water, they were even on the bottom in 51' of water. The Smallies came on a Tokyo Rig with an Adrenaline Craw and the rest were all caught on a Blade Baits everything was released to be caught another day.

Cloudy and Sunny with a few good wind gusts

The Smallies are starting to show up at the wintering hole. Blade Baits and Football Head Swammers or Adrenaline Craws normally work when they're set up. We found a few nice schools if Crappie as well but no pictures were taken 8-10" was the biggest caught, hoping to get out a couple more times over the next couple weeks.

Found a few Smallies and a bunch of Crappie

First Smallmouth in the boat 7 minutes after I started on a Football Jig with an Adrenaline Craw and a bunch of schools of Crappie scattered around the lake that were from 10' to 40' of water and everywhere in between. The Blade Bait helped put a few Crappie in the boat, next time I'll try some Crappie Jigs as well. I even marked a bunch of Fish down to 50' of water on the bottom. I might have to checkout what they are the next time out if there is another this year. Sounds like we could get snow Sunday but hopefully it doesn't stay it's way to early for that.

Lots of wind but a little warmer today

Panfish plastics and Blade Baits helped put the Crappie in the boat the last 2 days, I found a few nice schools and caught lots but 9" was as big as they got. I tried a bit for Bass and Pike before getting a call to say I needed to take some stuff to Bill in the London Hospital, he's in over night for observation after he had a reaction after they started his treatment, he's stable now and hopefully home tomorrow late morning or after lunch.

Multi Species days can be FUN keep changing it up

Wednesday and Thursday was a couple multi species days with lots of Crappie being caught, we had one spot that had 15' of Crappie on the screen in 30'+ water that I should've taken a picture of too.

Caught on a 4.75" Swammers on a belly weighted hook with a willow blade under it.
